The Romanian Government denies the Holocaust within the boundaries of Romania between 1940-1945

During the weekly meeting held on June 12, 2003, The Romanian Government approved the Cooperation Agreement between the National Archives of Romania and the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. The discussions on this topic brought to light the position of the Romanian Government: while encouraging the research concerning the phenomenon of the Holocaust in Europe - including the related documents stored in the Romanian archives -, it strongly underlines the fact that a Holocaust did not take place within the boundaries of Romania between 1940 and 1945.
